Wasena Park & Carvin’s Cove Engagement Session | Roanoke, VA

Peter & Jordan

It is the best feeling and such an honor to photograph a bridesmaid from a past bride’s wedding! I was so excited to hear about Jordan and Peter’s engagement and thrilled when they decided to use me as their photographer! I loved seeing them interact at the Cooper wedding and seeing them catch the bouquet and garter! Their engagement session began at Wasena Park and ended at Carvin’s Cove, which was a place that held so much meaning to them!

Jordan and Peter went to high school together, but they never spoke during those years! They had mutual friends in college, and they ended up at the same party. Peter dared Jordan to share a gummy worm with him and the rest was history!

On their first date, Jordan was pinching herself that she got a date with someone so popular from high school. They went to a restaurant in Blacksburg and had the easiest conversations! Jordan was nervous, but Peter was so calming and put her nerves to rest throughout their date.

Peter proposed to Jordan at Valhalla Winery and staged a scenic photo to make sure the moment was captured (my kind of guy!!). After the proposal, Jordan was surprised to find all of their friends and family inside the venue.

When I asked Jordan what she was most excited about for the wedding, she said “I’m most excited to be surrounded by our family and friends as I marry Peter. I cannot wait to walk down the aisle and finally be husband and wife. After almost 7 years together, I feel like it’s been such a long time coming!” I cannot wait to capture their big day!
