Billy & Taylor

Billy & Taylor got married at the beautiful Glass Hill Venue in Goode, VA with the Peaks behind them. They wanted a Blue Ridge Wedding and they absolutely got it at this stunning venue!

These two met at the Outer Banks in North Carolina at a local brewery. Their meeting was fate, because they were both there from out of town and they just both happened to be in that place at the same time. Taylor was actually in town for a bachelorette party for her friend Brittney! I think one of the most memorable moments of their wedding day was when Billy asked Brittney and her husband to stand and while holding back tears, he thanked them for helping him find his wife.

Through the process of becoming their wedding photographer, these two became two of my closest friends. I actually got the chance to visit the place where they met with them after their wedding day and it was so awesome to hear them talk about their experiences there and how they found “love in a bar” (also the title of their super sweet first dance song!!).

Billy proposed to Taylor in a way that she never saw coming! I forgot to mention that these two are photographers and videographers themselves, and they run an awesome company called Whole Heart Studios. Billy and Taylor had planned to be models in a styled shoot. They both got all dressed up and Billy got down on one knee and when Taylor turned around, she thought it was just a part of the shoot! She quickly realized that he was proposing, and she was so excited to say yes!

The most distinctive moment of most weddings is when the groom sees the bride for the first time and Billy’s reaction did not disappoint! I love how these two love each other. Their focus was on one another for the entire day and they were just so happy to be married and to be celebrating with their favorite people (and pups).

To the Kohls, I was so thrilled to be a part of your day, but I am even more honored to call you guys friends! I am so excited to see where your marriage takes you!
